FOLIE à DEUX

SAW VIDEO (OTTAWA) AND MODERN FUEL (KINGSTON)
PREMIERE COMMISSIONED VIDEOS ON THE THEME OF MADNESS

Sunday, November 12 at 7:30PM / Free Admission / Cash Bar
Club SAW (67 Nicholas Street, Ottawa)

As part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, SAW Video is proud to present 7 new works made through its thematic commissioning program 'Folie à deux'. A collaborative initiative with Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre in Kingston, the screening will feature world premieres by video artists from Eastern Ontario, including four from Ottawa.

Folie à deux is a psychotic disorder shared by 2 people, usually people who are mutually dependent upon each other. The selected artists explore the theme of shared delusion in wide-ranging ways, from siblings creating untouchable worlds to drug-induced symbiosis to human dependance upon a machine.

Screening Program:

* Motel to Motel by Véronique Couillard and Ryan Stec
* A Family Affair - The sins of the father are visited upon the son by Kathy Thompson
* The Changeover by Paul Gordon
* OCD Confession by Maryke Schurer
* Two Little Monkeys by Lenny Epstein
* Making Strange: A Love Story by Pierre Duran
* 1,2,3 Knock Up by Ariel Smith

The project was made possible through the generous sponsorship of the Ontario Arts Council Touring and Collaborations program.

For more information, please contact Jason St-Laurent at (613) 238-7648 or clubsaw@artengine.ca
