Learn the basics of FCP from A to Apple Z! This 2-day course will help you get started with non-linear editing using Final Cut Pro 7. Participants will learn how to set up a project and capture from a DV device, how to use the timeline interface, how to add titles and create transitions, and how to export projects. The first day of the workshop participants will be given an overview of the FCP software as demonstrated by the instructor. On the second day, participants will practice editing a brief sequence in teams of two. Take this course and expect to come away with a basic understanding of how to use this popular editing program.
This workshop includes 3 hours of individual practice time that can be booked with the Technical Coordinator according to availability.
Oscar Jesurum is a multimedia producer with a master´s degree in Media Management from the University of Navarre. He has produced ads, historical documentaries, TV shows, films and corporate videos with an artistic approach for Video/Film companies in Spain and Venezuela since the late 1990s. He assisted the executive producer on the thriller film Fermat´s Room, winner of numerous festival awards, and has collaborated with directors Terry Gilliam and Fernando Trueba on press screenings. He has also been teaching TV production, post-production and quality control for the last three years. Oscar is focused on helping others better communicate with the available media technology and is open to new challenges, especially as a way to create, learn and share with others.
