Let's Get Clinical!

Just got your brand spanking new SAW Video membership and looking to rent gear? Or perhaps you are simply in need of a quick refresher!

This two-evening clinic is a prerequisite for members who wish to rent of SAW video's production equipment. Participants will receive basic instruction on SAW Video's prime 3-chip HDV and Mini DV cameras, such as the Sony Z1U, V1U, and the Panasonic AG-DVX100. The safe, proper care and operation of cameras, lights and audio gear will be deomnstrated. How much power do those lights draw? Is there a right and wrong way to wrap cables? How much and what kind of equipment will I need? These questions and more will be answered.

Instructor

Chris Ikonomopoulos lives in Ottawa and has been working under the umbrella of audio and video since the late 1990s. Hosting a weekly radio show on CKCU 93.1 FM and working in post-production for film and video, Chris includes soundtracking and composing, editing, cleaning, mixing, recording and DJ'ing as part of his work. Chris has also done various sound installations, has been awarded a handful or prizes for his audio work in Canada and hears sound everywhere.
