Access to Equipment Policy
Video production equipment and facilities are available to the public for non commercial productions within the cultural sector.
All members are required to take introductory workshops or demonstrate comparable ability in handling equipment before they can have access to it.
An equipment rental contract must be renewed annually.
Changes to the Equipment Rental Policy
May 31, 2006
SAW Video has instituted a change to its rental policies to ensure that members have increased access to full productions kits on the weekends.
Members booking kits on weekends now have priority access to production accessories. To do this, we are limiting bookings of production accessories outside of kit rentals to one week in advance. In addition, you may now book only one of each kind of rental item in a kit: one camera, one light kit, one monitor, one tripod, and one audio kit. Members can book additional production accessories, pending availability, seven days in advance of their booking.
This applies to weekend bookings only. Policy changes are effective immediately, and we will honour bookings that have already been made.
