2 day - Introduction to Final Cut Express HD

This workshop is designated as introductory training for media artists and artists from other disciplines who would like to explore using video in their work. It is also open to members of the public wishing to create independent video works.

Learn the basics of Final Cut Express from A to Apple Z! This 2 day course will cover all steps of the process from setting up a project and capturing from a dv device, to using the timeline based interface, and outputting back to dv. Day 1 of the workshop will focus on a complete overveiw of the Final Cut Express software demonstrated by the instructor. Day 2 of the workshop will be hands on for all participants to practice editing a brief sequence under the supervision of the instructor.

This workshop includes 3 hours of practice time which may be booked with the Technical Coordinator according to availability. Workshop is limited to 6 participants On day 2 participants will be seated in pairs at each editing workstation.
