SAW Video's basic membership is intended for individuals who are interested in joining the video and media arts community in Ottawa. It provides discounts on workshops to those who are interested in building a video/media art skill-set and provides a personal invitation to meet artists and community members at SAW Video programming events.

A basic membership must be renewed annually and may be upgraded at any time to a producing membership (with the necessary qualifications). Benefits of your basic membership include: 

• Discounts on SAW Video workshops. 
• Voting privileges at the annual general meeting. 
• Opportunities to meet with local, national and international media artists. 
• Emailed invitations to SAW Video events, including screenings, master classes, artist talks, equipment demonstrations and more. 
• The SAW Video e-newsletter which includes information on SAW Video programming, employment opportunities, upcoming workshops, grant deadlines, festival submission deadlines, local screenings and events.
