Lighting Techniques

This workshop is designed for introductory level media artists and filmmakers who would like to explore using lighting techniques in their independent video projects. This workshop teaches lighting concepts through hands-on training. Participants will explore basic physics of light, common terminology and definitions, and become familiar with the lighting equipment that SAW Video has in its collection, such as fluorescent lights, LEDs panels and Fresnel lights, as well as various kinds of diffusion and gels.

We highly recommend, as a pre-requisite for this workshop to take SAW Video's: Intro to Video Production workshop but it is not mandatory.
