This workshop is a pre-requisite for new filmmakers and new SAW Video Members wanting to rent out equipment. It teaches the basics of camera, and audio through hands-on training. Participants will receive basic instruction on SAW Videos HD Video Cameras and they will be taught three-point lighting and introduced to LED’s. Sound recording options will be examined and their applications will be discussed. This workshop is designated as introductory training for members of the public wishing to create independent video works as well as artists from other disciplines who would like to explore using video in their work. The safe, proper care and operation of cameras, lights and audio gear will be demonstrated, as well as an overview of pre-production, budget and post-production schedule.
