This introductory workshop will take you through the first steps of video editing such as organizing media, timeline and trimming tools through more intermediate topics such as using the inspector, keyframing effects and an overview of color correction. Over the course of the workshop you will learn how to edit on multiple layers, add titles and transitions, make audio adjustments and export a finished product. This workshop will teach participants to become familiar with the DaVinci Resolve interface and the various tools the software has to offer.
This workshop is divided into 2 consecutive Tuesdays to give participants a week between classes in order to complete exercises and familiarize themselves with the software.
Materials
This workshop will take place online. To join the meeting, participants will need to create a Zoom account (register for the free account here: https://zoom.us). Link for the virtual classroom will be sent to participants on Monday June 8th.
Before the first session of this workshop, participants must download and install the free software Davici Resolve 16, available here: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve.
