Video Production Clinic

Image of an Intro to Video Workshop

This two-evening clinic teaches the basics of camera use, audio recording, and lighting through hands-on training. Participants will receive basic instruction on SAW Video's high-definition video cameras, such as the Panasonic AC-160, or the Sony Z90 Camera. Participants will be introduced to three-point lighting and dealing with power on location. A variety of mics will be used and their applications will be discussed.

This workshop is a prerequisite for new filmmakers and new SAW Video members wanting to rent out SAW Video’s equipment. The safe, proper care and operation of cameras, lights and audio gear will be demonstrated, as well as properly wrapping cables and re-packing equipment. Under the guidance of the instructor, participants will have the opportunity to practice using the equipment during the workshop, and to handle the equipment to get familiar with it.
