Workshops

SAW Video presents a range of training and professional development opportunities for media artists and artists from other disciplines seeking to explore video in their work. Workshops are open to SAW Video members and members of the general public engaged in the creation of non-commercial, independent productions.*

SAW Video members receive discounts on all workshops on offer. For non-members, the cost of a basic membership to SAW Video is included in the workshop fee.

In addition to hands-on practice during workshops, free access for follow-up practice times is available for some workshops.

To register for workshops, contact us at 613-238-7648 or workshops@sawvideo.com. Please read our Workshop Registration Policy / Politique d'inscription aux ateliers first.

* Non-commercial, independent productions are defined as productions where the director retains copyright and artistic control, and where the production is not being created for a client or for advertising purposes.

His films are known for their emotion and intelligence and the understated, lyrical approach he takes to storytelling. Ostroff is about to release Winds of Heaven, a 90-minute documentary about Emily Carr and her relationship with the First Nations people of the Northwest Coast.

Most workshops are scheduled as demand permits unless otherwise noted in the workshop description.
