Join us for a dialogue between Jean-Michel Quirion and artist Hélène Lefebvre about her commissioned video work ‘Open Water’ – the first projection in SAW Video’s public art series Imagining Publics, featuring five local artists projecting commissioned video works at five different sites in Ottawa from July-October 2019.

Like skateboarding culture, film and video-making often tend to be male-dominated fields. SAW Video's Video Camp for Girls+ program seeks to encourage young women, girls, femme-identified and non-binary youth, to learn about video production and to consider it as a potential career choice and to remove socioeconomic barriers to training for young women in the technical fields of video production.
