It's National Indigenous Peoples Day

National Indigenous People's Day - so much to celebrate - go and knock yourselves out and check out imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival awesome online compilation: From drama to documentaries, feature length to short format, podcasts to audio works, and VR to interactive games, we will keep updating, shifting, mixing media created by Indigenous artists from around the world spanning our past 21 years. https://imaginenative.org/inonline-1

What we cannot celebrate is unaddressed continuing injustice, perpetuated through systemic racism. So here's some homework: read the report on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls in Canada (https://www.mmiwg-ffada.ca/final-report/) - learn to RECITE the Calls for Justice! And write to your MP and Ministers, holding them accountable for their failure to produce a federal action plan, over a year AFTER completion of the report. Here is Native Women's Association of Canada report card on federal follow-up https://www.nwac.ca/wp-conte…/uploads/2020/…/REPORT-CARD.pdf
