"Blasons Anatomique" is a video blasons - a eulogy to the male torso. Flesh fills the monitor, a corporeal landscape of soft, pink, undulating man-flesh! Statement: "Blasons Anatomique" was a form of Renaissance Poetry which described fragments of the female body in extravagant and glowing terms. The poems were always devoted to a single body part - i.e. breast, cunt, lips, or forehead. The fragment was compared to fruit, flowers, alabaster or an animal. The isolated body part holds a persistent fascination for me. I wanted to isolate, eroticize and eulogize portions of the female body - a visual blason.
