Nicholas Street Entrance Closure Reminder
Due to ongoing construction, the 67 Nicholas Street entrance will be closed as of August 7, 2018. Please use the entrance at 2 Daly Avenue. If you are returning equipment and need to access an elevator from the ground floor, please email Equipment Manager Jason Sonier at production@sawvideo.com for more information.
Media Arts Hub Availability - August 2018
SAW Video staff will be working out of the Media Arts Hub during office hours Monday to Friday throughout August, as a consequence of disruptions associated with construction at 67 Nicholas. As such, private bookings in the Hub will be suspended for the rest of August on weekdays before 6PM. We will, however, be able to accommodate private bookings after 6PM and on weekends and members with Hub privileges (Producing, Organisational, and Post-Production) may still access the space during business hours. We apologize for the inconvenience to our members and thank you for your patience and understanding.
Production News and Equipment Rentals
Members picking up and dropping off equipment from SAW Video can access our facilities via the main Arts Court entrance at 2 Daly and/or the accessibility entrance just east of the main entrance. You may also use the Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG) at 10 Daly Avenue, if needed. We highly recommend you plan around using Post-production facilities weekdays from 6PM-12AM during construction or all day on weekends due to bedrock hammering in the courtyard. Access during this time will be with limited staff support, editing will need to be booked ahead of time, and may require arrangement of an orientation session with staff. Members may be able to book editing sessions during the day, but are advised that the space may be unusable due to noise and vibration from drilling.
