Short Film Lab Launches at SAW Video

The DOC Institute Short Film Lab launched last weekend with the Development Bootcamp. Sixteen emerging filmmakers took part in three packed days of learning at SAW Video. The Short Film Lab is an 8-month artistic documentary-focused mentorship program for young filmmakers, launched in partnership between DOC Institute and SAW Video and supported by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

Art's Possible Worlds

Knot Project Space continued its Video in the Public Sphere Speaker Series with LA-based artist and writer Amanda Beech, who delivered an artist talk and screened a selection of her works. The talk also functioned as the reception for Beech's five-channel video exhibition Covenant Transport, Move or Die, which was on view from March 9th - April 6th, 2019.

Introducing: The Loop

Our Hub Space has a new name!

SAW Video is thrilled to announce the launch of a new name, brand identity and logo for our Hub Space. The space will now be known as The Loop: Collaboration + Experimental Learning. The decision to rebrand came after a year of growing into our new facilities and honing in on how we can reflect the needs and desires of our members and our community at large in a re-imagined physical space.

Closing Early on February 13th

SAW Video will be closing at 5PM on Wednesday, February 13th!

Due to the massive amount of snowfall in the National Capital Region over the last day, we're operating under reduced hours (noon to 5PM) on Wednesday, February 13th. We will be back to our regular hours tomorrow (10AM-6PM, Thursday, February 14th). Thank you for your patience and understanding!
