Laura Gruber holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History and is interested in Curatorial Studies. Based in Ottawa since 2019, Laura graduated at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Brazil, her home country. For her research essay, she analyzed the representation of Brazilian women artists in the exhibition ‘Radical Women: Latin American Art: 1960 - 1985’ and their critical reception in the United States. Laura also worked with Exhibition Production. She collaborated with the organization of the 2017 BIENALSUR exhibitions and events at her alma mater. Laura is now focusing on further developing her programming and arts administration skills, and in helping build a thriving arts community in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.
