SAW Video Media Art Centre will be closed on Friday September 27th to participate in the youth-led Global Climate Strike which aims to draw attention to the critical state of our planet and demand bold action from global leaders. People from 156 countries are sharing their voices, calling for policies to address climate change and pushing leaders to speed the transition to clean energy. The current rate of emissions causing climate change, if continued, puts our earth on a path to global warming that will cause significant impacts to where we all live, work and play, as well as rob our future generations of a healthy, habitable planet.
To provide our staff with the opportunity to join the Global Climate Strike demonstration in Ottawa this Friday, our office will be closed to the public from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Friday September 27th and re-open 4:00pm until 6:00pm for members who are picking up equipment rentals.
