The DOC Institute Short Film Lab launched last weekend with the Development Bootcamp. Sixteen emerging filmmakers took part in three packed days of learning at SAW Video. The Short Film Lab is an 8-month artistic documentary-focused mentorship program for young filmmakers, launched in partnership between DOC Institute and SAW Video and supported by the Ontario Trillium Foundation. We're proud to be working with program participants Asma Abdourahman, Landon Arbuckle, Nicole Bedford, Taylor Blewett, Tyler Boyce, Alejandro Cendales, Veronique Eshaya, Cristian Gomes, Matthew Hayes, Edgar Hernandez, Shelby Lisk, Samya Lugoma, Stephane Mukunzi, Brooke Peloquin, Asha Siad, and Nick Wilson, and we look forward to seeing the projects and perspectives to come out of this lab!
